On our Google Business Profile, as they come in. Every job done under this name gets the same invitation to leave an honest review, good or bad, and they will accumulate there where you can read them without us in the middle.

What to check besides the reviews

A short review history is a fair thing for a homeowner to be cautious about. It is also the position every good contractor starts from. These are the checks worth running on anyone, and they are more informative than a star count:

• The license. Ask for the Georgia electrical license and check it. Any licensed electrician can produce it on the spot, and Georgia licenses this trade at every job size, so there is no version of this work where the question is rude.
• Insurance. Ask for a certificate, not a verbal yes. It costs the contractor nothing to send.
• The permit answer. Ask who pulls the permit on panel, service, EV charger and generator work, and what the inspection schedule looks like. An electrician who treats permits as an inconvenience is telling you something.
• How the quote is written. A quote that names the work, the materials and what would change the number is a quote you can compare. A single figure on a text message is not.
• Whether they will tell you no. Ask about something outside their trade and see what happens. The useful answer is a straight "that is a plumber", not a maybe.
